Hon. Edem Agbana Celebrates Birthday by Donating Uniforms, Shoes, and School Supplies to Huive MA Basic School Pupils

Member of Parliament for Ketu North constituency, Hon. Edem Agbana, and a known advocate for education and youth empowerment, marked his birthday on 30 January 2026 with an act of generosity, returning to Huive MA Basic School to support pupils in need.

On 23 October 2024, the students had presented him with a heartfelt gift prayers for him and for President Mahama’s success in the 2024 General Elections a gesture he described as “powerful and moving.” During that visit, Hon. Agbana observed that many pupils lacked proper uniforms and shoes, a reality he could not ignore.

Determined to make a difference, he returned to the school on his birthday, supported by his friend Obuobia Darko-Opoku and the NGO Soles of Hope.

Together, they provided each pupil from Kindergarten to Junior High School with newly sewn uniforms, a pair of shoes, a school bag, and five customized exercise books.

Hon. Agbana, who has previously championed initiatives to improve education infrastructure and student welfare in his constituency, emphasized the importance of investing in the next generation. “For me, there was no better way to celebrate than by leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of our future,” he said.

This latest initiative adds to a series of efforts by Hon. Agbana aimed at improving access to quality education, promoting youth development, and supporting communities in need.
