Health Minister Directs MoH Agencies to Align Operations With NDC Manifesto

The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has called on the management of the Ministry of Health and its allied agencies to align their operations and strategic plans with the implementation of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto.

Speaking at a two-day retreat, the Minister said the NDC manifesto outlines critical health sector reforms and priority interventions designed to improve access to healthcare, strengthen coordination, and enhance service delivery across the country.

He stressed that strict adherence to these policy commitments is essential to meeting public expectations and accelerating performance within the health sector.

According to Hon. Akandoh, aligning institutional programmes and activities with the manifesto will ensure coherence in policy execution and help translate government promises into tangible benefits for citizens.

He noted that the retreat provides a strategic opportunity to review progress made so far and to reorient the Ministry and its agencies towards new targets for 2026 and beyond. The Minister urged participants to show renewed commitment to their mandates, strengthen inter-agency collaboration, and uphold accountability in the discharge of their duties.

Hon. Akandoh emphasized that collective effort and discipline across all agencies under the Ministry are key to successfully delivering the government’s health agenda and improving health outcomes nationwide.
