Versatile fast-rising Hausa rapper, Fareed, is set to release the official music video for his Hip-hop jam “Zaafi”.
“Zaafi”, a Hausa word which translates as “Hot”, was released in November 2016 and has received prodigious reviews from showbiz critics and Ghanaian music lovers.
To complete is work on the mid-tempo Hip-hop jam, Fareed has shot a fine ghetto video for it. Fareed and his fan army stormed some ghettos in Mamobi in Accra a few weeks ago to shoot the video.
The video, according to Fareed, was directed by Jeneral Jay – the same director of his classic “Hip-hop Alhaji” music video.
“’Zaafi’ talks about our system and its issues. The aim of ‘Zaafi’ is to motivate the youth of our generation to strive for higher heights and to never give up on their dreams. ‘Y’ay3 hye w) street’… Mui Zaafi!” Fareed divulged in an interview.
“Originality. And you know if it’s Jeneral Jay you should be expecting some fire,” Fareed assured his loyal fans.
“Zaafi” music video is scheduled for release on Wednesday, February 8. It will premiere on 4syte TV before hitting online.
