Streetbeatz Highlights New Wave of Afrodancehall Talent in Ghana

Renowned Ghanaian producer Streetbeatz has shared his thoughts on the next generation of Afrodancehall artists, pointing to a new wave of talent ready to carry the genre forward. Speaking in a recent interview, the hitmaker—best known for his long-standing work with Stonebwoy—emphasized that the future of the sound remains bright, with several emerging acts already showing strong potential.

Afrodancehall, a genre widely credited to Stonebwoy’s innovation and consistency over the years, continues to evolve, and according to Streetbeatz, a few rising names are standing out for their energy, creativity, and work ethic.

“I can boldly mention the likes of Kinjunia, Gunnyboy and TMbwoy,” Streetbeatz said. “Recording all these boys, I can say the vibration on each artist is on a high frequency.”

The producer highlighted his direct involvement in shaping some of their recent work. For Kinjunia, Streetbeatz revealed he produced the track STEEZE, adding that the artist’s EP #BIGDADDY is already out, featuring a song he worked on titled BOOM BAM BUDUDUM. He encouraged fans to check out the project as it gains momentum.

Speaking on Gunnyboy, Streetbeatz pointed to the artist’s single ADDICTIVE, built on the WYFL Riddim by DJ Mac, describing it as a “mega smash hit.” He also noted his own contribution to Gunnyboy’s catalogue with the track MURDERATION, which is currently available across streaming platforms.

For TMbwoy, Streetbeatz emphasized the artist’s consistency, revealing he produced two standout Afrodancehall records titled SEYIAA and MOUNTAIN TALL, the latter featuring Fameye. Both songs, he said, showcase the artist’s versatility and growing influence.

Beyond the music itself, Streetbeatz stressed that what truly sets these artists apart is their natural instinct in the studio.

“These are artists who are just open to freestyle anytime a beat starts playing,” he explained. “That’s the angle, as a producer, I think you should watch to determine the strength of an up-and-coming artist.”

With co-signs like this coming from one of Afrodancehall’s most consistent producers, the spotlight is now firmly on this new generation to build on the foundation laid by Stonebwoy and push the genre to even greater heights.
