The Governments of Ghana and Zambia have signed ten Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements aimed at strengthening ties across key strategic sectors.

In a statement shared by Jubilee House, the presidency noted: “Photos from the signing of ten (10) Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements between the Governments of the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Zambia, aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation across key strategic sectors.”
The signed instruments cover diaspora cooperation, disaster risk management, institutional collaboration between the Zambia Development Agency and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, standardization and conformity assessment, and a waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official/service, and ordinary passports.
Other agreements include an addendum to the MoU on military defence cooperation, rules of procedure for the Joint Defence Implementation Committee, a bilateral air services agreement, cooperation in the field of health, and regulatory collaboration between the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority and Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority.
This landmark signing underscores the commitment of both nations to expand cooperation in trade, defence, health, and mobility, while fostering stronger people-to-people connections.
