President John Dramani Mahama has departed Accra today, Sunday, January 11, 2026, for an official trip to the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where he is scheduled to hold a series of high-level engagements.
In the United Kingdom, President Mahama will meet with coordinators of the Accra Reset Initiative to advance discussions on the programme, which is aimed at repositioning Ghana’s development and governance framework.
Following his engagements in the UK, the President will proceed to Davos, Switzerland, to participate in sessions of the World Economic Forum (WEF), a global gathering of political and business leaders focused on pressing economic and development issues.
On the margins of the Davos Forum, President Mahama is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders and key stakeholders to strengthen Ghana’s international partnerships and explore opportunities for economic cooperation.
The trip forms part of the President’s broader efforts to engage global partners in support of Ghana’s economic reset and long-term development agenda.
