The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has called on Emirates Airlines to feature Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and natural attractions on its flights as part of efforts to boost international tourist arrivals.
The appeal was made during a courtesy visit by the newly appointed Country Manager of Emirates Airlines, Mr. Salem Almana, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the airline and the Ministry.
Minister Gomashie praised Emirates for its global professionalism and extensive reach, noting that the carrier’s wide network presents a key opportunity to showcase Ghana to millions of international travellers.
Emirates operates flights across six continents and is recognised as one of the world’s leading long‑haul international airlines.
Emirates has won numerous global accolades, underlining its reputation in the aviation industry. In 2025 and early 2026, the airline captured multiple honours including APEX Best Global Entertainment and APEX World Class awards for its inflight services, and has been celebrated for its inflight entertainment system ice, luxury cabins and customer experience.
It was also named among the World Travel Awards’ best airlines, securing titles such as World’s Leading Airline Brand, Best International Airline, and Best First Class services at major industry awards.
Mr. Almana reaffirmed Emirates’ commitment to working closely with the Ministry to promote Ghana internationally and enhance the travel experience for visitors. Both parties expressed optimism about deepening collaboration to strengthen Ghana’s tourism profile locally and globally.
