Kofi Adams Vows Major Upgrades for Baba Yara & Nyinahin

In a move signaling renewed commitment to sports infrastructure in Ghana, the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, has assured Otumfuo Osei Tutu II of immediate steps to refurbish the Baba Yara Sports Stadium ahead of the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup and Champions League matches. The assurance was delivered during a high-profile visit to the Manhyia Palace on July 9, 2025, alongside key stakeholders in the sector.

The Minister was joined by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Chief Director of the Ministry, Mrs. Wilhelmina Asamoah, and Technical Director Betty Mensah. The delegation also inspected the long-abandoned Nyinahin Sports Complex, pledging a renewed focus on its development.
