SwanQy Jay, now known in the morning radio space as Nana Yaw Asiamah, is ruling the breakfast shows in the oti region.

Adjudged the best morning show host in Oti & Volta at the just ended Foklex Media Awards, he won the hearts of many with his thought provoking topics, smart and cunning interview skills, excellent and professional way of handling guests, expecially party communicators and inculcating local issues into his production makes him stands out, amongst other factors. He is a household name in the region, and beyond.

Before switching to hosting socio – political shows, he was the late afternoon show host at his current station; Dream 97.1 FM in worawora. He sat in for the morning show host and managers decided to keep him in that space because of his delivery.

Prior to that he hosted the Late Afternoon Drive alongside Showbiz Arena  on Nyewase Radio in Krachi, mid morning show at Oti Radio, Reggae show and a Radio DJ on GBC radio in Kete krachi.

SwanQy Jay, now Nana Yaw Asiamah has hosted almost every radio show including a bit of news casting, sports etc. He has introduced some programs on some stations which still run till now.

Aside from his radio career, in partnership with Best Multimedia and Narayana Foundation they organized Oti Music Awards two (2) times.

He has MCed / moderated many programs / events, he has been a judge on some talent shows and more.

On plans to explore other regions, he said he wants to cement his grounds before any move even though he believes he is fit for every platform.

He added that few good deals have come to his table but he believes it is not yet time to move out. His primary goal is to serve his people for now and going to the capital or other region is secondary and he wants to be ‘home’ for now.

Mr. Asiamah AKA SwanQy Jay still has great interest in Showbiz in Oti Region and still guests on some entertainment shows, especially with Mr. Rhomantic on his Showbiz Factory.
