Kojo Antwi Calls On National Chief Imam.

Music Maestro, Kojo Antwi yesterday paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu at his residence in Fadama.

Kojo Antwi said the visit was to pay homage to the Chief Imam who turned 100 years in April this year.

“I am here to pay homage to you, Your Eminence on attaining the glorious years of hundred and also to congratulate you for this blessings on you by the Almighty God,” Kojo Antwi told Sheikh Osman.

The music legend added that he was honoured and delighted to be warmly welcomed into the home of the Chief Imam for the second time.

“My first time here was many years ago when I needed you to support a project I embarked upon to raise funds for the victims of the spillage of dam in the north. You willingly supported with a campaign message, and I am happy to be here again,” said Kojo Antwi.

“This won’t be my last and I pray to the Almighty God to continue to give you good health and long life so that we can continue to visit you.”

In a warm and lively conversation with the Chief Imam, Kojo Antwi recalled with nostalgia his days as a young boy growing up at nearby Darkuman and playing around at Fadama, near the home of the Chief Imam. He called the Chief Imam a symbol of Peace, whose modest lifestyle and humility should be emulated .

Sheikh Osman expressed his sincere appreciation to Kojo Antwi for the visit and the the birthday presents he gave him. Among the items the music maestro presented to the Chief Imam included a beautiful hand-made portrait of the Chief Imam.

Sheikh Sharubutu prayed for the Music Man to live longer than himself.

Kojo Antwi was presented with an invitation to the upcoming launch of the biography of the Chief Imam in Accra next month.

The Music Man was accompanied by Kwame Yeboah.
