On the 8th of December, 2018; a new fashion brand was officially unveiled as part of the 80th birthday celebration of the Second President of the forth republic of Ghana – His Excellency John Agyekum Kufour.
The official launch of the fashion brand happened at the state dinner organized at the Jubilee House in honor of his Excellency dubbed, Kufour at 80. This clothing line; the Gentle Giant Collection named after the Ex President is the second and first flagship brand of the Sallet Fashion House – a textile and garment production company built with the capacity to produce on a large scale to feed the North American, African and European markets.
The Gentle Giant Collection includes but not limited to; Men’s occasional, office and casual wear, flying and neckties of regal appeal designed with authentic African fabrics, there are cuff links, wallets and shoes oozing nothing short of the positive attributes of masculinity. The JAK collection also includes Women’s occasional wear, blouses, tunics, jackets and accessories.
The unveiling was done by President Nana Akuffo Addo and the CEO of Sallet Fashion House – Miss Sally E. Torpey; the African Ambassador for the Fashion Business Association of America (FBAA) and brain behind the Sally Torpey brand which includes Oheemaa and the Gentle Giant Collection.
Prior to the establishment of Sallet Fashion House and the Sallet Foundation, Sally founded Sympathy International, an organization formed to educate teens and young women on the importance of female reproductive hygiene in 2003. She has collaborated with the Ghana Aids Commission to provide education and advocacy, care, and support on the prevention of HIV/AIDS in the entire Central Region of Ghana.
