MrBeast Announces Major Humanitarian Project in Ghana

YouTube star and philanthropist MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson and who ranks among the most‑followed creators in the world with over 400 million subscribers, has announced plans to return to Ghana later this year for a large‑scale humanitarian initiative.

In a statement shared with fans, MrBeast said his team will travel to a village in need, where they plan to build a hospital, provide food, construct wells to supply clean water, and support education for local children. The effort is designed not just to deliver aid but to reshape the community’s long‑term prospects.

“We’re going to completely transform the entire village and help inspire more people to do good,” MrBeast said, adding that 20 of the world’s biggest content creators will join him on the project to document the work and amplify the message.

This is not MrBeast’s first philanthropic effort in Africa or Ghana. In recent years, he has spearheaded and funded several charity projects through his nonprofit, Beast Philanthropy, including the construction of a surgical center in central Ghana for children rescued from slavery in the country’s fishing industry. That facility provides critical medical care in collaboration with local nonprofit Ghana Make A Difference (GMAD).

MrBeast’s charity work extends well beyond Ghana. His philanthropic track record includes global initiatives such as building over 100 water wells across African countries, delivering millions of meals to food‑insecure communities, providing shoes, medical treatments, and supporting refugees efforts financed largely through revenue from his Beast Philanthropy channel, which donates all of its proceeds to charitable causes.

He has also co‑led massive online fundraisers such as #TeamTrees and #TeamSeas, which raised tens of millions of dollars for environmental causes, and more recently #TeamWater, a global campaign that aims to provide clean water access to millions worldwide.

MrBeast’s YouTube influence and massive following have helped turn his charity projects into viral movements and inspired millions of fans to support humanitarian causes. His latest announcement signals another high‑profile effort to use his platform and resources to make a tangible impact in Ghana and beyond.
