Ghanaian charity organization, Schools Support Project by Jonilar.net marks this year’s International Day of the Girl-child at Ada in the Greater Accra region of Ghana.

The celebration which took place at Tamatoku,Ada was used to remind participants and all young girls of School-going age never to give up on their dreams. Speaking at the one day seminar on the topic; Shaping the Girl-child for the future, Hajj Fawzie an all women advocate and founder of Maltiti Foundation urges girls to take up the challenge of becoming a better version of themselves regardless of the standards set by society.

She also reminded Teachers and decision makers in Education to make the learning environment equally inviting for girls.

She ended up by also making a humble appeal to government to consider  Girl-based extra curricular activities that will encourage young girls to see the schooling environment a very welcoming one.

Jonathan Nii Laryea better know as Jonilar, the lead at Schools Support Project also thank the Ghana Education Service,Ada East and it’s leadership for accepting the collaboration that will go along way to expose young girls to their potential mentors who will occasionally engage them whiles in School.

Mr. Kwame Adams wrapped it up by saying the district through its Girl-child coordinatora is highly enthused by effort of Schools Schools Project and Hajj Fawzie to rekindle the passion in young girls especially those in the Ada enclave through the maiden initiative.

Schools Support Project was instituted by Jonilar.net in 2021 to reinforce learning at the Basic school level through the supply of learning materials, mentorship and collaboration with other organizations of same interest. Together with Rising Roots Foundation, Mandolf Foundation and others, the charity organization has been able to help many remote schools.
