Most often,alms-given,donation and philanthropy is for the rich in society,but as years goes back,the dimension is gradually changing and more individuals are getting to know the essence of giving to the less privellege.
In Ghana, one young man who belongs the low income group but doing tremendously with charity is Amenakpor Samuel popularly known as Saminy De Barber based in Spintex a suburb of Accra.
The youngman who is in his late 20s has decided to team up with his colleague barbers within the nation’s capital,Accra to support orphanages with items ranging from food,drinks,clothes and on top of it,give these kids a beautiful and handsome haircut.
The initiative has been running for two years now and last Saturday,30th September,2017,Enough Grace Foundation in Awoshie had their turn as the team from Saminy Charity Haircut visited them with a line up of life-impacting activities and donation which brought hope and smile on the faces of the kids and their leaders.
Through the support of Kasapreko,The Darko group,Coca-Cola,Fedek,producers of Ultimate Mineral water,Aurelia foundation and able media support from Jonilar,Ebla radio and Imperium Film Works, Saminy Charity Haircut had another successful donation.
According to Saminy,the donation is an annual event and he believes will grow more as time goes on he will extend it to orphanages outside Accra. Jonilar in his speech to the orphanage urge them to take good advantage of the items to support growth both physically and mentally.
The matron of Enough Grace Foundation,Aunty Miriam Adabie in response thank Saminy and the entire team for the awesome donation and promised they will do their best to take good care of the kids to become an asset to mother Ghana one-day.
