Budding, promising actor Dennis Cobblah joins the bandwagon of radio personalities at urban radio station YFM of the Global Media Alliance by winning the station’s debut reality show.

“The One” as it is dubbed brought together prospective young radio hosts through an audition in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi; cut down to 10 finalists who were groomed and run through a contest in 6 weeks.

Each week saw an eviction of contestants whose fate were decided by public voting via the YFM mobile application.

Beating his contenders with 761 out of a total of 1221 votes cast, Dennis was crowned winner of the competition on 5th December, 2016.

He shared his excitement: “I entered the competition because I believe YFM can help me hone my radio skills and that’s exactly what I got after going through this competition. It has been a tough and exciting grooming session during this competition and am super glad to be the winner.’.

“I now have a radio career that will pay me, make me comfortable and satisfy my ambitions”, he added.

As winner of the much coveted opportunity, he walks home as a new host of a show on YFM, supporting MC of the Loud in GH concert, a full makeover, grooming, Nasco 40” TV (Courtesy of Electroland) and Nasco Tablet (Courtesy of Electroland).

Dennis Cobblah is a 26 year old graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. As a talented actor, he has electrified several major stages and landed major roles in movies in the country. His new career in the media comes as a complement to his multidimensional talents and skills.
