Accra, Ghana – July 3, 2019: Being one of the hottest voices on today’s radio in Ghana, YFM Ghana’s radio jock/rapper, Joel Orleans was awarded ”Best Radio Personality (Male)” at the just ended Ghana Entertainment Awards USA.

Joel Orleans has lived to gain himself applauds from prominent names in the industry making him a gradual force to reckon with and organizers felt it right to award his outstanding craft. ”I feel great. To win in New York especially is a big win, because the people abroad recognize the work we put in”, expresses Joel.

The ”Radio Man” as he’s affectionately called is the host of ”Dryve of ur Lyfe” show which airs on Accra based radio station – Y107.9FM, from Monday to Thursday; 3PM to 7PM and Friday at 3PM to 6PM. Joel Orleans is also signed to The Black Star Line, run by multi-platinum and #1 billboard producer, Coptic. His multi-talented self has also gained him more recognition in the Hip-Hop realm in the country.

The third edition of the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA was held last Saturday, June 29 at the Schomburg Center in New York. The annual event which is organized to celebrate, honor Ghanaian entertainers in and outside Ghana once again had a successful showdown awarding over 25 entertainers and attended by thousands of Ghanaians.

The event was graced by seasoned Ghanaian artists and celebrities including Medikal, DJ Mic Smith, Afia Schwarzenegger, Sista Afia, Teephlow, Alordia, She Baby, Ignace, Fancy Gadam and more.
