Kingsmen Transport & Logistics Company Limited yesterday 16th May, 2021 donated a wide range of items to Akropong School for the Blind located at Akuapem, Akropong in the Eastern region of Ghana.
The donation according to Mr. Kingsley Mensah; Chief Executive Officer of the company is a conscious attempt by the company to support the less privileged in society and the School for the Blind happens to be a beneficiary. He also added that it is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility hence it will be repeated annually in other parts of the country.
He also used the opportunity to encourage students not to give up on their dreams. He urged them to pursue excellence because brighter opportunities await them. As a key member in Sarkodie’s management team and lead manager of Hiplife artiste, Donzy, he cautioned students who found themselves talented not to stop rehearsing, adding that Creative arts is a profitable venture for those who are passionate and ready to chase it. On the other side, Sarkodie’s manager, Angel also admonished them to be disciplined and never stop trying. Donzy wrapped it up by asking them to take their studies seriously and never to join peer pressure groups that do not add value to their lives.
Mr. Kingsley Mensahe also made an appeal to the central government and stakeholders to create more avenues for the visually impaired and brothers and sisters who are physically challenged but have the potential.
