Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artiste, Renner returns to active music early this year after going into hibernation to repackage. She granted Jonilar.net her first ever exclusive interview in 2020 days ago where she opened up on more important issues including her new record label, new music and many others
Born Mercy Nana Efua Renner – Renner rose to stardom after her cover version of Shatta wale’s ‘Ayoo’ went viral in late June, 2017 and has since been many people’s favorite. According to the female star, Shatta’s endorsement by sharing her cover on social media gave her a meaningful mileage as a growing talent.

However in April 2018, she announced departure from her then record label, GHG. Responding to why she left, the bubbling vocalist indicated there was some misunderstanding between both parties that led to their break up on mutual grounds. She also added, they still have some low-level communication between them insinuating there’s peace after all.
On the other hand, she has partnered with some parties to start a new record label, BBF not only to market her music but also support other spotted talent in Ghana. She spoke vehemently against Sex-for-management. According to the Elmina native, it sounds awkward and unusual… “… if it is sex then it should be some natural cause but not because of the work….if you look at me with the sex eye first, I will bounce you. You should look at me and like me …” she explained
The former Venus Films Production employee also supported the call by some showbiz personalities like Edem asking on government of Ghana to support the creative industry financially because of the negative economic impact of COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana and other parts of the world.
