Musician Danny Beatz is not happy with the leadership of Musicians Union of Ghana – Musiga for remaining silent on the ongoing campaign by musicians and other stakeholders for media houses to play 80% Ghanaian music on their stations.
The musician in a tweet and post on his social media questioned the union and Music rights collection agencies on their role in the ongoing campaign.
Musicians are calling for 80% local music play and till now the Musicians Union of Ghana, Musiga which mandate stand as the welfare of our Musician have not come out to even declarer support for his members ?

#Play80%GhanaianMusic is a voluntary social media advocacy stated by influential Ghanaian blogger and industry expert,George Britton for media houses to play 80% Ghanaian content. Musiga on the other side is yet to response to the call officially.
Danny Beatz is one of the artistes strongly behind this call. The likes of Shatta wale,Bola ray,Jay Folie,Samini,Keeny Ice,R2bees have all shown solidarity.
The African Prince Records signee is known for producing some of the biggest hits in the history of Ghana music including, Ebony’s ‘Date Ur Fada’ and “Hustle”. He has two big songs in the country at the moment,’Medekuku’ and ‘Danny Yei’ .
