Merqury Republic, the organisers of the annual Ghana DJ Awards has set the ball rolling for the 2016 edition of the ‘Campus DJ Challenge’ as they are ready to host the first edition in 2016 at the University of Ghana in Legon, Accra this weekend.

The live Dj session is a competitive platform for campus-based DJs to show their talents and to show their preparedness for the commercial market.

According to Merqury Quaye, the Ceo of Merqury Republik the initiative is to help
Unearth DJ talents on campus, give them visibility and identify buzzing talents for nomination in the ‘Best Campus DJ of the Year’ category of the prestigious 2017 Ghana DJ Awards.

University of Cape Coast’s very own, DJ Mingle was crowned last year, DJ wallpaper (Mensah Sarbah) Hall, DJ Stunner (United Nations – Evandy), DJ Augustt lyte (Akuafo Hall),
DJ Deezy (J T N Yankah hall),
DJ lay-low (Elizabeth Sey, and
DJ Smokey from GIMPA are going to lock horns for the same crown this weekend.

Some of Ghana’s well – known names and previous Ghana DJ Award winners including DJ Que, DJ Vyrusky and DJ Andy Dosty will also be in attendance mesmerize audience with their killer fingers.
