“It doesn’t matter how much you make at the end of the month. If you truly want to support society, you will surely have a way out.”
These are the words of Saminy Da Barber, a celebrity hair stylist who with support from his colleague barbers Ganyobi, Charles, Andy, Kobby, Luda, Michael and Blacknation barbered over 200 orphans on Saturday, 27th August, 2016 at the New Life Orphanage Home located at Nungua in the Greater Accra Region.
The event also saw Saminy donating a good number of exercise books, mineral water from Aquafina and asorted drinks from Kasapreko Company Limited, Nestle Ghana Limited who were the main sponsors.
Saminy added that even though it wasn’t an easy thing to do, his is grateful for support from HDMedia Ghana, Aurelia Foundation, Radio Universe, other media partners, friends and individuals who supported in their own way to make the donation a success.
He used the platform to call on other people into small scale busines to embark on an initiative that will support the less privelleged in society because they need everybody’s support to grow and become great citizens someday.
Mr Afotey Botwe, the founder of the Orphange who accepted the donation on the behalf of the children expressed his gratitude to Saminy and his supporters for the kind gesture. He also urged society not to forget them in their prayers because they are also trying their best to shape and position the children properly for society.
Saminy De Barber is a celebrity hair stylist who has worked with the likes of Captain planet of 4X4 fame, Itz Tiffany, Music video director Justice Kloutse, Gemini and many more.
