Everybody’s Money Dey Somebody’s Pocket | Ghana Boy Sings After Anas’ Exposé

by | Jun 8, 2018 | Music

Do you believe in the general assertion that no man is an island?

Well, veteran Ghanaian comedian Samuel Otto well known as Ghana Boy has added his voice to the national discussion arising from the screening of #Number12, an investigative documentary (film) by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

According to the comedian who doubles as a musician, no man is an island and would however rely on someone at one point in time.

Whether coincidental or planned, the musician in a new single title Everybody’s Money, Ghana Boy says “everybody’s money dey someone’s pocket”

Asked if the song was as a result of the Kwesi Nyantakyi alleged bribery and corruption saga, Ghana Boy jokingly said,

“I doubt the nation would have been this mad if Kwesi Nyantakyi had only someone’s money in his pocket and not the President of Ghana”, he laughs.

“This song has nothing to do with Kwesi Nyantakyi and the Anas issue but just a reality. We all depend on others for survival hence everyone having the other’s money in their pocket. For example, your son wakes up in the morning and looks up to you for survival (money), you’ve got to pay for transportation, etc. We all depend on others for survival”
