Press release by Youth Web Ghana

We are writing officially to thank first of all God Almighty for the chance of life and also a big thank you to our Headline sponsor Universal Merchant Bank (UMB). We again say a special Thank you to all our Gold Sponsors; Indomie Ghana, Mcvities Ghana, Airport West Hotel, ddp Outdoor limited, Campus Market, Gh Media School, Boom Entertainment, Asa Models, Marie Noelle American Beauty Academy, AIT, 360 Connect Africa, Blue Crest College for also sponsoring this year’s UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards. As well as all our Media Partners for believing in supporting this National Initiative.

With the Youth of Ghana at heart and Ghana’s future in mind, Youth Web Group has decided upon a survey which indicates that every year more than 68,000 students’ graduate from all Tertiary Institutions in Ghana and a little over 10,000 get employed. This worrying condition affecting majority of the students motivated us to organize an award ceremony to reward students who while in school are contributing positively through various sectors of Ghana’s Economy to cause change in their society since 2014.

The Aim is not just to award students and for some few students to win but also to show case all the nominees to the world that Ghana has a lot of hard working students in different arts to help our country move from developing to a well-developed country in a short time. The aim of the Show is also to importantly correct the wrong notion and misconception people have about Ghana’s Tertiary Education.

We say a big thank you to all Ghanaians for coming to support the UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards 2016, we know with your presence the students will certainly explore, understand and identify the factors and resources in elections and the activities which would help Ghana’s Economic development and bring Social change. Again as an awards show we welcome all constructive critism which are expected to achieve another excellent show next year.

Congratulations to all the winners for this year’s UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards 2016 as well as all those who got nominations for their spectacular contribution as students for the general wellbeing of Ghana. We finally want to also apologize to the few artistes who couldn’t perform and the other five categories which were not mentioned due to time and other factors beyond us but we have however added the winners of those categories to this press release to celebrate them with the rest of the winners.

I am proud to say that yet again the UMB GHANA TERTIARY AWARDS 2016 has finally cemented its title and reign as the Biggest Students festival not only in Ghana but also across Africa with the great attendance and excellent show which was exhibited. Thank You and God Bless Ghana.
