The CEO of KB Empire, a Music Production Record Label, Nana Boateng has lashed out at famous Dancehall Act, Shattawale, condemning his style of aggression in which he insults his perceived enemies in his songs.
He further went ahead to compare Shattawale to the BET award winner Stonebwoy , who he said has a bright future looking at his professional posture, he told Prince Tsegah, popularly known as Don 1,on Showbiz Fylla hosted by Amanda Jissih on Hitz fm.
Nana Boateng cited the stint Stoneboy had with Morgan Heritage and his general reputation as a sign of a bright future.
When quizzed by the Don which of the two dancehall Acts he would sign under his record label if he had the opportunity, he said
“i will sign on Stoneboy because he thinks” When asked by The Don whether he is implying that Shattawale doesnt think, he said yes.
Don : “are you implying that Stoneboy thinks and Shatta Wale doesn’t think ” he replied
Nana Boateng: “Yes.”
In defending why he said Shattawale doesn’t “think”, he attributed it to the insults in his songs and used the infamous WMT song as an example.
He further said ” it will be easier to work with Stoneboy because he has a clean brand not like Shattawale.”
Nana Boateng’s KB Empire , is a relatively new record label which believes that big stars like Stoneboy and Sarkodie will do better if they are under a proper record label rather than just having their brand labels that isn’t well managed.
KB Empire is the force behind Iyk Wonder and Afiba at the moment.
